ENGLISH

Obverse.: The Roman consul L. Junius Brutus togated walking right, accompanied by two lictores holding fasces above the left shoulder, without monogram in right field of KOΣΩN.

Reverse: Eagle with open wings, standing left on sceptre, holding a wreath in the right claw.

Previously attributed to a Thracian king by the name of Koson. Believed to allude to the denarius issued by Marcus Junius Brutus.

More recent scholarship points toward an attribution to the Geto-Dacians, not Thrace, and somewhat before the referenced issue of Brutus.

Incredibly vibrant and lustrous, with a great yellow gold appeal throughout.

DEUTSCH

Vorderseite: Der römische Konsul L. Junius Brutus, in Toga, nach rechts gehend, begleitet von zwei Liktoren, die ihre Rüten über der linken Schulter tragen – ohne Monogram auf der rechten Seite des KOΣΩN.

Rückseite: Adler mit geöffneten Schwingen links auf Zepter stehend, Siegeskranz in der rechten Klauen tragend. Zuvor einem thrakischen König namens Koson zugeschrieben. Angeblich Anspielung auf den von Marcus Junius Brutus herausgegebenen Denar. Neuere Forschungen deuten auf eine Zuschreibung an die Geto-Dakier hin, nicht Thrakien, und etwas vor der referenzierten Ausgabe von Brutus. Eine unglaublich lebendige und glänzende Münze, mit einem großartigen Gelbgold-Schimmer. Prägezeit/-ort: geprägt ca. 54-25 v.Chr., Olbia.

Erhaltung: vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Durchmesser: 19,79 mm; Gewicht: 7,45 Gr.

ROMÂNĂ

Recto: Consulul roman L. Junius Brutus în togă, mergând la dreapta, însoțit de doi lictori purtând lăncile deasupra umărului stâng, fără monogramă în câmpul din dreaptă a KOΣΩN-ului.

Verso: Vultur cu aripile deschise, așezat la stânga sceptrului, ținând coroana victoriei în gheara dreaptă. A fost atribuit anterior unui rege trac cu numele de Koson.

S-a crezut că este o aluzie la denarul emis de Marcus Junius Brutus, deși studiile mai recente atribuie originea Geto-Dacilor, nu Tracilor, cu mult înainte de referirile lui Brutus.

O monedă incredibil de vibrantă și strălucitoare, din aur, de un galben eclatant pe toată suprafața. Masă: 7,45 grame. Dimensiune: 19,79 mm.

SRPSKI

Avers: Rimski konzul L. Junije Brutus u togi, hod nadesno – u pratnji dva liktora koji drže fasce iznad levog ramena, bez monograma u desnom polju KOSŌN-a.

Poleđina: Orao otvorenih krila, stoji levo na žezlu, sa pobedničkim vencem u desnoj kandži. Ranije je novac bio pripisivan tračkom kralju po imenu Koson.

Veruje se da aludira na denar koji je izdao Marko Junije Brutus.

Novija saznanja pripisuju ga Geto-Dačanima, a ne Trakijcima, štaviše, pre pomenutih zapažanja Brutusa. Neverovatno živahan i sjajan, boje žutog zlata. Težina: 7,45 grama. Veličina: 19,79 mm.
