ENGLISH

Bishop Alexander, servant of the servants of God, greets his beloved son, the Vicar General in spiritualibus of our venerable brother, the Archbishop […]. The petition recently presented to us by our beloved son, the layman Martinus Caraccioli, and our daughter beloved in Christ, Mrs Isabella Caraccioli of Naples, contained that they, Martinus and Isabella, who come from noble families, wish to be united in marriage for certain rational reasons that move their hearts, but they cannot realise their wish on this point without the dispensation of the Apostolic See, because they are related by the same ancestor in the second and third degree. So they humbly ask us to take favourable care of them in the above-mentioned matters out of apostolic benevolence.

We believe they and theirs should be absolved from all excommunication and other ecclesiastical punishments. These might otherwise affect them as a legal effect of our letter. Through an apostolic letter, we charge your Humility to avoid any hope of gifts or rewards. This applies even if such gifts are offered voluntarily.

Und erkläre auch, dass ihnen die Verwandtschaft zweiten Grades nicht im Wege steht. Das zu zeugende Kind erklären wir aufgrund dessen zu einem ehelichen Kind. Wir bestimmen die Exkommunikation als Strafe für den Fall, wenn du willkürlich unsere Ermahnung verachtend planen würdest, bei dieser Gelegenheit jegliches Geschenk oder eine Belohnung zu fordern oder anzunehmen, was sie bringen. Gegeben in Rom, bei Groß Sankt Marien, im Jahre der Fleischwerdung des Herrn 1657, an den Iden[1] von September, im dritten Jahr unseres Pontifikats.

Petiția prezentată recent de fiul nostru iubit, laicul Martinus Caraccioli și de fiica noastră iubită în Hristos, doamna Isabella Caraccioli din Napoli conținea faptul că ei, Martinus şi Isabella, care provin din familii nobile doresc să se unească în căsătorie din anumite motive raționale care le mișcă inimile.

Totuși, nu își pot împlini dorința fără dispensa Scaunului Apostolic, deoarece sunt înrudiți prin aceeași ascendență de gradul doi și trei. De aceea ne cer cu umilință, să avem grijă

Dato u Rimu, kod Velike svete Marije, u godini ovaploćenja gospoda 1657, u idenima[1]  od septembra, u trećoj godini našeg pontifikata.
