Loss in the middle (ca. 9 cm, hardly any loss of text), somewhat stained, traces of folds and creases. Seal (lead cop) is missing. The papal legate authorizes the priest and licentiate of rights, Guillaume Leroux, to build a chapel with a bell tower and up to three altars for Saints Mary, Maurus and Anne of Angers.

COMENTARII

Inchiziția spaniolă a fost fondată în anul 1478 de monarhii catolici Ferdinand și Isabela pentru a întări și menține religia catolică în regatele lor aflate în acea perioadă sub controlul direct al monarhiei spaniole. Camera de tortură a inchiziției (v. „Mémoires historiques pour servir à l’histoire des inquisitions”, Köln, 1716.) a fost abolită definitiv abia în anul 1834, în timpul domniei Isabelei a II-a.

Ca tribunal ecleziastic, Inchiziția avea jurisdicția numai asupra creștinilor botezați. Doar că, după exilarea în Spania a Evreilor în anul 1492 și a Maurilor musulmani în anul 1502, jurisdicția Inchiziției de-a lungul unei perioade lungi a istoriei sale s-a extins de facto asupra tuturor supușilor coroanei, scopul fiind menținerea religiei catolice asupra celor convertiți cunoscuți sub denumirile de conversos sau marranos.

Pošto je teret čitavog stada Gospodnjeg poveren nama kao najvišem autoritetu, nama koji vidimo našu nesavršenost, naime da mi ne možemo svaku pojedinačnu stvar, koja se odnosi na apostolsku službu, sami da rešimo, zbog toga mi često delimo naše brige sa našim biskupima, nadarenim naukom i vrlinom, u koje je usađen strah od Boga, tako da oni mogu vratiti našu uslugu njihovim pohvalnim zalaganjem i trudom, a kako bi lakše nosili naše teško breme, i da uz Božiju pomoć nama poverene zadatke obavljamo bolje i uspešnije. Zbog ovoga tebe, brate, putem apostolskog pisma, izričito ovlašćujemo da preuzmeš na sebe ovaj teret, kao i sve druge aktivnosti za Boga i naše poštovanje, da sve ovo obavljaš na čovečan, pažljiv, pohvalan i mudar način, onako kako ti je Bog to odgovarajuće pružio, a da iz tvojih vrednih napora, uz Božiju milostivu pomoć nastane željeni prinos, dobitak, i ti zaslužuješ da za svoju brižnu službu budeš nagrađen i da budeš radostan, jer to sleduje svim pobožnim prvacima kao što si ti.
